Zoey integrates AgeChecked into their E-Commerce platform

      GDRP preparations are rolling out!

The E-Commerce platform Zoey is integrating AgeChecked into their platform.http://blog.zoey.com/agechecked-launches-on-zoey-app-store  "Due to disruptive technology and a unique business model, AgeChecked can offer Zoey clients a much more cost-effective solution compared to more traditional competitors."

It is good to see platforms getting prepared for the age verification regulations.

This age check thing is confusing me.  If you have to buy a card from a retailer to get into a website, how do people who don't have access to these stores get in?  Does this not really, really cut down on access to your site?  I hear rumblings of online solutions which clearly would have a wider range of access.  Could you explain this like age check for dummies?  I know there is a very serious age check campaign blitzing this biz at the moment.  And that always makes me suspicious.  Like the overwhelming brute force of the attack of the traffic guys last year with their so called "seminars".  I am skeptical but not kicking it to the kerb. I am all in favour of age verification and see a good future for honest business people.  Just not sure if this is it.

This isn't going to change a thing. At all. They will just go to sites based outside of the UK that don't have such laws. Or they will buy cards saying they are eighteen - they will find someone with the hook up. Or they will just steal them.

When I was a kid we were not allowed to buy dirty magazines. Yet somehow I was able to get enough of them to sell them in bulk. It's not difficult.

I think it will change a lot.  Not everyone wants to duck and dive for their porn. I am hoping that it will ultimately be good for our business.  Just too much hype of people trying to sell their product at the moment.  You don't want to be the first adopter of a failed project.  Too many people trying scare tactics to get business rather than rational, explanatory plans.  I don't like being marketed to like a customer rather than a business person.  That seems to be a common problem on adult boards because so many affiliates are functionally customers.  But this situation calls for a more rational approach with some suggestions on implementation.  Not just sales pitching which is what I am seeing at the moment.

I would still like an explanation and thoughts on how to plan.  But no one seems to have a clear solution to this, just an apocalyptic April 1 date but no information on how this would benefit anyone.  A good start would be a clear opinion on the what the UK government is doing.  As far as I can see, there are no strategies.

I am still seeing pitches but I am not seeing solid plans on how this will work and how we should plan and if this guy who is carpet bombing the biz at the moment will solve our future compliance.  Bump for an explanation.

What do you mean "duck and dive" for their porn?
