      Big Sweep

As many of you know, Backpage got wiped out, similarly other advertising websites closed their collective doors as well.  Escorts will surely survive, but all of those queens from the boroughs here in NY relied heavily on their ads as they couldn't afford Eros and other reliable escort sites.

Those shopping for some discount hoez this weekend are going to have to get in your cars and take to the back alleys and streets for a cheap thrill.

"So far, the chilling effects caused by SESTA/FOSTA has altered the internet’s landscape in the U.S. and beyond. Sites offering all kinds of adult content have made some defensive moves in recent weeks.

CityVibe.com and Nightshift.co closed their sites after passage of the bill, while Craigslist cut its personals listings and Reddit pared its messaging boards.

VerifyHim closed its discussion board and mailing list; HungAngels.com removed its forums; YourDominatrix.com, shut down all U.S.-based ads; and Pounced.org closed.

Other reports of closures include MyScarletBook.com and ProvidingSupport.com, along with YellowPages.com, which shut down its escort services and removed ads.

MyFreeCams also changed its “terms of service” to explicitly ban any transaction that involves an offering to meet a site member for tokens.

Social network FetLife.com said that it wasn’t shutting down; however, the site has eliminated consensual blackmail and financial domination cases.

In moves that likely will affect international users, Google Play updated its policy to ban explicit content such as “promotional images of sex toys” and “apps that promote escort services.”

In addition, Google Drive deleted explicit content and locked out users, and Microsoft’s terms of service were updated, banning the use of “offensive language” and “inappropriate content,” such as nudity that may result in suspensions or bans for users of Skype, Xbox, Office and other services."

Well, with Gov. masking this in the guise of 'trafficking' and having the ability to shut down websites, it will be significantly impactful to not only the $100 cheap tricks in the boroughs, but the several grand a session porn stars who travel from city to city and abroad to supplement their incomes.

It's more than shutting down your website, it also comes with 25years of federal prison and hefty fines.

I think if I was in your line of work I would be very concerned.

      Why is that?

      Why is that?

because your ads pop up everywhere.....and if this gets worse, those who participate in the "offending" sites could be a party to the offense.  I am not a lawyer, and perhaps your company doesn't sell traffic to these sites.  But I am assuming that your concern would be to make sure of that.

Sorry, just haven't been over this way. My company Series of Tubes is hired by Tiger Media, a Canadian Company, to represent their ad network JuicyAds on the boards and at tradeshows, also consult with their publisher clients to make the most from their sites.

Now I assume the company you are referring to is JuicyAds, which I wish was mine but is not, has taken steps based on what their legal counsel has recommended as precautionary actions to prevent them, their clients, or consultants(like myself) from running into any problems with these new laws. There has been a few advertisers and publishers who's business has been turned away by JuicyAds, even though its Canadian company wouldn't want any problems for clients based in the US.

My company also has some other clients who at this time have no risk from these laws, so I'm not sure what predicament you think I might be in but my company and it's clients have consulted with legal counsel to make sure there's not any issues with these or any other laws.

So you are dealing with it. You being your company. And that is good.  But when they spin the dragnet, the first to get caught up are the public faces and you are a very public face.
